Adopt a cardinal during the Year of Faith

Adopt a cardinal
Here's a initiative that brings together your Year of Faith prayer life and the papal conclave: Adopt a Cardinal.
Adopt a Cardinal is a web site where you enter a minimum amount of information -- your name and email -- and press 'Register and adopt a cardinal.' Just like that, you'll see the picture, name, country, date of birth, and date of elevation of YOUR personal cardinal to pray for.

I just adopted Cardinal James Michael Harvey of the U.S.

With the cardinals scheduled to meet on Monday in General Congregation, we'll soon know the date the conclave will begin. There's no better time to keep the cardinals -- collectively, and individually -- in our prayers.

Adopt your cardinal here.

And join us in prayer:

God, eternal shepherd, you tend your Church in many ways and rule us with love. You have chosen your servant N. to be a shepherd of your flock. Give him a spirit of courage and right judgment, a spirit of knowledge and love. By governing with fidelity those entrusted to his care, may be build your Church as a sign of salvation for the world. Amen.
